four 1970s "les arcs" chairs
charlotte perriand
leather and chromed steel

A set of four tan hide and chromed tubular steel "Les Arcs" chairs by Charlotte Perriand for Cassina.

These important chairs date from 1973. They are stamped with the date of manufacture on the underside.

They are in excellent vintage condition, with patina consistent with age. There are no repairs or damage of any kind.

A world renowed designer, Perriand worked with the legendary Le Corbusier for ten years. Her furniture designs include the Basculant chair and the B306 chaise longue (often wrongly attributed to Le Corbusier). She went on to design her own buildings and furniture, which cemented her reputation as an architect and designer of international importance.
