two 1950s lounge chairs
fredrik kayser for vatne lenestolfabrikk
teak and cane

Similar to Finn Juhl's chairs in their sculpted, organic form, these are stunning examples of Scandinavian design. With tapering legs, caned backs and finely crafted joins, these chairs are stylish, comfortable and robust. The Vatne Lenestolfabrikk is affixed to the underside of both chairs.

With Afdal, Brattrud, Raastad & Relling, Fredrik Kayser was one of Norway's most respected designers during the 'Scandinavian design' period. These are amongst his most beautiful chairs.

They have been fully restored and repolished. The new cushion pads are covered in a high quality, heavy weave blue wool fabric, which complements the rich colour of the teak frame. The cane is firm, supportive, comfortable and fully intact.
