two lounge chairs
hans olsen
suede, teak, beech

H: 71cm, W: 66cm, D: 70cm

Seat height: 40cm

A pair of 1950s lounge chairs in suede, teak and beechwood by Hans Olsen for Verner Birksholm.

Designed in 1955, this impactful design shows the influence of both Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl.

The beech frames are contrasted with finely contoured teak armrests.

The warm tan suede has minor surface wear and patina, commensurate with vintage.

This design is fully documented by the Danish Design Museum.
