The original Danish safari chair by Kaare Klint for Rud. Rasmussen. Made in the 1960s from ash wood with natural tan leather seat, back and cushion, tan leather straps and brass detail this is a sturdy and elegant example. It is stamped "Denmark" on both back struts. |

The contrasting pale leather and dark wood, along with the excellent condition, make this a particularly eyecatching example. With original cushion and back which tilts according to the sitter's posture, it is also very comfortable. |

Structurally there are no defects whatsoever; it is robust and very stable. While there are a few marks to the leather in keeping with its vintage, all straps, buckles, spokes and supports are perfectly sound. |
