A beautiful and versatile 1960s sofa / daybed by Peter Hvidt and Orla Morlgaard for France & Son.

The clean lines, tapering legs, sculpted arms and rattan panels combine to create a perfect example of Danish design.
Newly-reupholstered, the grey melton complements the rich teak wood.
The striking teak backrest makes this a perfect free-standing sofa.
The teak and cane are in excellent condition, with one or two very minor marks commensurate with age.
The daybed is created by pressing two concealed buttons. Both arms can be lowered to a horizontal position on which the cushions are placed.

The sprung base cushion doubles as a very comfortable mattress.

All webbing is in excellent condition. The France & Son plaque is affixed to the frame.
