An original 1950s ceiling light by by AB Read for Troughton & Young. Designed in 1948, the "Versalite" was first exhibited at the 1951 Festival of Britain. It is an acknowledged design classic, a copy of which is housed at the V&A.
In aluminium and chromed steel, the Versalite shades can be tilted 360 degrees for uplighting or any other configuration. | |

This light is in excellent vintage condition. With only minor marks in keeping with age, the colours bright, the chrome only slightly aged. | |
